Wilford W. Clyde

Wilford W. Clyde is a lifelong resident of Springville. He graduated from Springville High School, where he was active in basketball, football and tennis. He served an L.D.S. mission to New Zealand after which he attended Brigham Young University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Following his graduation, Wilford began working in the family construction business, Geneva Rock. He is currently the President and CEO of Clyde Companies, Inc., the parent company of W.W. Clyde & Co., Geneva Rock and Sunroc.

Wilford has served the community in many capacities. He has served as Chairman of the Utah Manufacturers Association, as President of the Utah Chapter of the Associated General Contractors, as a member of the BYU Construction Management Advisory Committee, as Chairman of the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce, and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of UVU. He currently serves on the Boards of the Utah State Employers Council, Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, and Envision Utah. He is married to the former Natalie Egbert, and they have four daughters, Camille, Melia, Alison, and Katie. In his limited spare time, he enjoys golf, skiing and boating with his family.

Wilford has always taken pride in being a resident of Springville and has always been involved in the community. He served on the city council from 1989 to 1992 and was the commissioner for girls softball for three years supervising 25 teams. He also coached for 10 years in the Filly and Fox softball leagues. He and his wife, Natalie, chaired the Springville Museum of Art Ball and were co-presidents of the Springville Red Devil Booster Club. Although his children have now graduated from Springville High School, he still enjoys attending the sporting events and other activities.

Wilford is excited about the recent growth of our city but wants to keep Springville as a small personal community where opinions of the residents really matter. He wants to encourage people in our community to get involved and help keep our city a great place to live. With the completion of a new roadway into our city we have a wonderful opportunity to improve our tax base with addition of new businesses. He also is committed to providing the very best recreational opportunities for our youth and other citizens.
